The Cathedral School

Years 3 and 4 - Autumn Term 2026

Welcome

We are so excited to welcome the children back to school and are looking forward to a fantastic term of learning together!

This term, we will be travelling back in time in History as we explore Stone Age to Iron Age Britain, discovering how people lived and how life changed over thousands of years. In Geography, we will be investigating why people live near volcanoes and learning all about these fascinating and powerful features of our planet.

We will also be getting creative! In DT, the children will be designing and creating their own cushions, while in Music we will be exploring composition, developing our musical ideas and creating our own pieces.

Alongside this, there will be lots of reading, writing, maths and science, as well as our RE, computing, art, PE and other exciting areas of the curriculum.

There will be lots to discover, create and learn this term, and we can't wait to see the children grow in confidence and develop their skills along the way!

Full details of what we are learning throughout the year can be found on the long-term plans on the Welcome page.
